Crowns & Bridges

Dental Crowns

A crown, also known as a cap, completely covers a tooth too damaged for a standard filling.

  1. The damaged portion of the tooth is removed and prepared after anesthesia with our dental wand.

  2. An impression is taken to be sent to our lab located in Michigan. A temporary crown is adhered to the tooth.

  3. In approximately 2-3 weeks, the temporary crown is removed and replaced by the permanent crown. This part is typically quick and the tooth doesn't always need to be numb.

Bridges

A bridge is a set of crowns used to cover one or more missing teeth.

  1. The teeth on either side of the gap are prepared after the area is numbed with our dental wand. An impression is taken to be sent to our lab located in Michigan.

  2. A temporary bridge is glued to the posts.

  3. In approximately 2 weeks, the temporary bridge is removed and replaced by the permanent bridge. There is no need for numbing, but it may take a little time to get the fit just right.
